Continuing a systematic work after two meetings with representatives of the communities, the meeting participants identified additional features of the communities and discussed common opportunities: agricultural sphere, green energy and ecology of regions, recreational sphere, metallurgy and mechanical engineering.
Particular attention was paid to a topic of elimination of the consequences of war and the key requests of communities after de-occupation:
- Assistance in developing recovery plans (request for a technical assistance for priority reconstruction; humanitarian aid and its coordination; economic recovery; information support and countering the IPSO; personnel reserve and its training).
- Support for veterans (physical, psychological and social rehabilitation); support for local economic development (return of residents, assistance in doing business, creation of a business support fund); construction of permanent housing.
"Perhaps, it is necessary to highlight the issue of social rehabilitation. This applies to both veterans and community residents who suffered as a result of armed aggression (IDPs and residents who remained in the temporarily occupied territories)," - Iryna SLAVOVA, Melitopol.
During a practical part of discussion, both long-term community requests and current ones were considered:
"I would consider the mentioned issue from the perspective of a duration of this period. If this de-occupation is possible in at least a year, then it will be humanitarian support for residents, assistance with renting housing for IDPs from the community, development of a city plan (restoration of boiler houses, city districts, etc.); If we consider that de-occupation will take place in a month, it will be material and technical means, equipment, humanitarian support, construction materials," - Oleksiy OSTROVERHOV, Mariupol.
Based on results of the facilitated online meeting, community representatives continue to work on projects regarding reintegration and restoration of territories that are temporarily under occupation.
